قال الإمام بن الجوزى
فأما ذهبك :
فمالك وحالك وكل نعمة تنعم بها ، فلو معك مال قد تكون عرضة للحسد أو الطمع ، ولو لم يكن معك قد يعاملك أحدهم بشفقه ويستهين بك ، فكل ذي نعمة محسود .
أما ذهابك :
فتعني أى أمر تنوي عمله ، بيت جديد.. خطوبة .. مشروع .. إمسك لسانك ستجد خططك تتحقق بفضل الله ..!
سيدنا يعقوب قال لإبنه يوسف : لا تقصص رؤياك على إخوتك فيكيدوا لك كيداً ..!
لقد خشى على إبنه أن يحسده إخوته ، رغم إن النعمة كانت مجرد حلم لم يتحقق بعد ..!
والسؤال الذى سيتبادر للذهن هو : كيف يمكن الجمع بين هذا الرأى وبين الآية
"وأما بنعمة ربك فحدث" ؟
هذه الآية معناها ألا تنكر نعمة الله عليك ، وإحمده على كل حال ، ولتظهر آثار نعمته عليك فى اللبس والبيت والتوسعة على أهلك دون تبذير أو تفاخر ...
وأما مذهبك :
فتعنى لا تنصح احد الا لو طلب النصيحة ، ولا تتكلم عن نفسك كثيراً ماذا تحب وماذا تكره .. صحيح ان للحديث عن النفس شهوة سواء للمتحدث أو السامع .. لأن ذلك سيزيل بعض الغموض الذى يضيف لك زهوة ولمعان عند من تصاحبهم ، وأيضاً لكى لا تدخل فى جدالات عقيمة لا لزوم لها .
يقول سيدنا عمر بن الخطاب :
ندمت على الكلام مرات، وما ندمت على الصمت مرة ..!

Imam bin Al-Jawzi said
As for your gold:
Your money, your condition, and every blessing you enjoy. If you have money, you may be vulnerable to envy or greed, and if you do not have it, someone may treat you with pity and belittle you, for every person who has a blessing is envied.
As for your going:
It means anything you intend to do, a new home, an engagement, a project... Hold your tongue, you will find your plans coming true, thanks to God!
Our master Jacob said to his son Joseph: Do not narrate your visions to your brothers, lest they plot a plot against you..!
He feared for his son that his brothers would envy him, even though the blessing was just a dream that had not yet been fulfilled..!
The question that will come to mind is: How can this opinion be combined with the verse?
"But the grace of your Lord came to pass" ?
This verse means that you should not deny God’s blessing upon you, and praise Him in every situation, and let the effects of His grace upon you be evident in clothing, the home, and expansion to your family, without extravagance or boasting...
As for your doctrine:
It means do not advise anyone unless they ask for advice, and do not talk about yourself a lot, what you like and what you hate. It is true that talking about oneself is a desire for both the speaker and the listener. Because that will remove some of the ambiguity that adds prestige and shine to you in the eyes of those you are with, and also so that you do not interfere. In sterile and unnecessary arguments.
Our master Omar bin Al-Khattab says:
I regretted speaking many times, and I never regretted being silent once..!
